The creators of the original Tenchu have returned to the series for this Wii addition that makes full use of the Wii’s motion controls.
The original Tenchu is still the biggest selling, and highest rated, of all the Tenchu games. With its creators taking the helm once again, Ubisoft hopes to recreate the blend of stealth and brutal combat that made the original Tenchu such as success. Continuing the ongoing Tenchu storyline, ninjas Rikimaru and Ayame must use their martial arts skills to keep the peace in ancient Japan and track down the villain behind a recent kidnapping.
With Nintendo’s Wii Remote in hand, players can now recreate some of the stealth assassins’ moves themselves, slashing and swinging the Wii Remote in time with the moves on-screen. Each of the 17 weapons on offer has its own unique motion controls in place. 10 missions are spread across varied feudal Japan locations, with 50 side quests to extend the experience.
Tenchu – Shadow Assassins moves back to the feel of the first, and arguably best, addition in the series, with motion controls adding an entirely new feel to the stealth title’s combat. |
